Aligning within when faced with obstacles - like Princess Jasmine

About 1.5 hours into the most recent Aladdin movie, we see Princess Jasmine (played by Naomi Scott) sing the song 'Speechless'.  I'm going to assume that people know the general story of Aladdin, so you'll understand the next few sentences.  Jafar (the bad guy) has just taken ownership of the lamp, ordering the genie to make him sultan instead of Jasmine's father.  Now they are all at the mercy of Jafar.  He orders the guards to take Jasmine away.  Throughout the movie, Jasmine has felt constrained and not able to use her voice and now the circumstances have amplified that lack of freedom.  Things have transpired that she will now be locked away.  While we may not be princesses being ordered to the dungeon by a bad guy who has just taken over our dad's job, we will likely have experienced external circumstances and obstacles shutting down our creative process.
If it was real-life, perhaps we would see Jasmine trying to manipulate one of the guards into letting her go, or we would see her going to the dungeon and spending six months there in depression seeing it all as a sign that she really isn't meant to have a say in things.  Or she would have made some compromising deal with Jafar to seemingly ease her suffering.  Because usually our obstacles and circumstances can appear to be very 'real' and not able to be changed.

Instead we get to witness her connect in with herself as she is led away.  She starts to sing and connect to her emotions and her life force; letting them flow.  Everyone around her disappears as she sings - because this process is not about being heard, it is about aligning to the flow, to her flow.  This alignment process completes as the song ends and Jasmine has a clear action step to take - one that she couldn't see beforehand.  She appeals to the head guard - she recognises him and explains how he has a choice in this matter.  This acknowledgement of who he is and his power leads him to no longer follow Jafar out of a sense of duty.   The whole ordeal doesn't end there and then, but it changes the trajectory of events.  It weakens Jafar, as he now has to use up another wish and Jasmine is back in the game, able to work with the others to reach the outcome they want.
